1. Who will perform the work, who will supervise the job?
At Tri-County Painting the owner supervises and works alongside a crew of 1-3 painters, depending on
the size of your project.
2. Will my interior furniture and items be protected and covered with canvas drop clothes?
Floors, furniture, pictures and other items will be covered with canvas drop cloths and plastic
sheeting. When a project is completed we will clean up and leave your home in the condition it was in
prior to us starting.
3. What brand of paints and stains do we use?
We prefer to use premium paint and stains to save home owners money by producing a durable, long
lasting coating. At Tri-County Painting we give the customer a choice in which brand they prefer,
unless it's a paint or stain that we know will give you problems in the near future. We prefer
Pittsburgh Paints, Benjamin Moore, Graham, Ralph Lauren (for custom finishes) and Sikkens stains.
4. What is the best interior paint that's easy to wash?
Professional paint manufacturers have been adding (Ceramic Micro Spheres) to paint for a few years
now, this gives the surface a non porous, stain resistant finish that washes very well. Besides being a
moisture barrier paint that works excellent in bathrooms.
5. Do I have to keep painting the exterior of my home?
No, Pittsburgh Paints makes an excellent product called "Timeless", it's a 100% Acrylic paint coating
that's warranted for the lifetime of your home. (Paint once and never again!) It works great for wood
siding and trim, masonry, vinyl siding and aluminum siding.
6. What is the next step after choosing to hire you?
Tri-County Painting requires a deposit of 50% to schedule and start any project, and collect the final
balance after the home owner passes inspection of the completed project. Some instances can
require less of a deposit with a draw in the middle of a project, and final payment due upon completion
with a home owners inspection.
7. What is required of the home owner prior to our arrival to paint?
We move furniture, window treatments, switch plate and outlet covers. We only ask that our customer
remove small items and hanging pictures. Upon completion our crew will replace all items back to the
8. Why does the price range of estimates vary so much?
At Tri-County Painting, our estimates are based on the thoroughness of a project. We especially look
at every aspect of the preparation, and the paint or stain product that will perform the best for you and
your home. The quality of a project can be viewed when it is completed, and this is where you'll notice
why prices vary for estimates. We will be more than happy to explain in detail, our estimate and the
work process we plan for your project. As home owners ourselves, we are very aware that cost is a
large factor that our customers take into consideration. Therefore we always strive to keep costs

9. Can we assist with color selection?
Yes, we have been painting homes for over 15 years and take note of color trends, custom finish
trends, changes in ceiling colors and more. We've also worked with fantastic interior designers over
the years, gaining knowledge from them as well.
10. Can you repair drywall or exterior wood work?
Yes, we can repair any drywall work inside of your home due to water damage, settling cracks, holes,
dents, etc. We have been repairing drywall and plaster for years, leaving only your knowledge of the
repair and nothing visible. We come across exterior repairs constantly and can replace old weather
damaged boards without any problems. (Exterior maintenance "painting" is the key to keeping
restoration to a minimal)
11. Does Tri-County Painting have references?
Yes, references are available upon request. At Tri-County Painting our reputation and work is our
